I was wondering what people have come across while on the open roads of Britain, specificly people that have an agressive driving sense from near misses you have had to people throwing throwing cigarettes out the window. I do find these stories interesting |

The worst I had was in Scotland. I'd flown upto Glasgow to go and see a customer, and picked up a hire car at the airport. Dricing along one of the motorways (don't know which one) I was trying to read the many signs and work out where I was going (I was pretty lost!).
Anyway, at a busy junction with a few options I slowed down in the middle lane trying to read the signs as the inside lane was closed. About three/four hundred metres away I could see that the middle lane started to get closed too, leaving just the outside lane. So, I look over my right shoulder to see a white van sat in the outside lane on my rear corner. I indicate right, and it doesn't move, so I speed up slightly but realise that the shite hire car hasn't got any guts. In the end I have to brake - by no means an emergency stop but far harder than I should have had to - so that this idiot passes and I drop in behind him.
Out of frustration and disbelief at his lack of awareness I flashed him with my lights once. Then, his brake lights come on and I figure that he's part of the roadworks team and he's going to pull in between the cones ( ). Nope, he stops his van in the outside lane of the motorway, gets out and comes to have a go at me! I was so gobsmacked it was all I could do to tell him to "fuck off" after he'd finished ranting and he stompted back to his van.
Stupidly, I was still so gobsmacked that I didn't get the company name or number written on the van. Oh, that would have been an interesting phone call to them and then the police. |

Riding with my brother last year and some pr1ck (passenger in the car) gave my brother the finger for no reason, he gave it back. The car stopped and the passenger starts screaming at him through the rear window. His door opens. (We are waiting at the lights) I put the stand down, turn off engine and get off in a bad mood. The car shot off whilst the passenger was half out the car. LMFAO. |

When on the speedfight last year, some bloke looked at me sat next to him at a roundabout( giving way to other cars) and he shouted "fuck off, ya little c*nt" So I thought this was hilarious, and said "woooooooooooooooo" his face went red, so I tooted me horn and carried on! Was definately a funny one.
Occasionally when someone pulls out in front of me, or slams the brakes on I high beam them for a while! After filtering, I have known a lot of boy-racers/tits attempt to push me outta the lane! I just laugh, wanker sign and continue. ____________________ 05 ZX10R, (**05 WKR) |

Why you gettin g pissed off with him in the first place. Yo looked in your mirror, saw a vehicle there and STILL switched yourt flashers on as if you were going to pull out. It is not his job to let oyu out (although it may have been courteous under the circumstances), it is your job to make sure it is safe to do so before attempting to change lanes. Had I been in his place on my bike, I would have probably braked hard on the assumption (as shown by your flashers) that you were about to move into my lane, which is not a good thing to do on a busy motorway but better than being forced into the armco.
Sorry if this sounds like a flame dude, but it is that sort of driving that results in me removing mirrors. There was no excuse for him to stop to have a go though ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. So that he knew I wanted to pull out, given the limited space.

Exactly.

Which was what I was doing.

Fair comment, and I'd do (and have done) the same. I maybe didn't explain too well as I just chucked my account down in the post. From his position it would be pretty damned obvious that I need to pull out, and the fact was without him moving (speeding up or dropping back, either way is fine) it caused me to have to break. Inconsiderate at least. The situation is componded by me not knowing the road, being lost and the roadworks but the fact is he didn't want to let me out.

The fact that he stopped in the outside of a motorway and got out of his car just goes to show what a twat he was. If he would do that, he's hardly going to worry about me approaching cones with no-where to go is he? |
