I am also looking for a CO2 pistol for “messing around” on. I would prefer one brand new. Does anyone have a link/contact for the cheapest CO2 guns and parts/accessories?

Anyone else shoot here, btw?

I've had pistols and currently have a rifle, used to belong to a gun club but got bored .. really want to start PPP which is practical pistol shooting, it involves using a pistol to shoot targets whilst walking a course etc... quite good.

I sold my beretta set up a few years ago to fund bike lessons though! Laughing

Keep meaning to buy a new one Rolling Eyes

I may be tempted to sell my rifle as I never really use it! Would get more use from a pistol.

I keep meaning to buy an Anics Skif 3000, EXCELLENt value for money and a large shot magazine!! In fact oh shit now I wanna buy it Sad lol they are only £100 and apparantly very accurate, they also seem to be more powerful than the berettas etc! But i'd need to double check the specs before confirming that Thinking

I'll buy one next week or so and let you know if it's any good.

Yes, the berettas fire at aprox 390fps wheras the anics does up to 520fps depending on ammo used.

£90 for the gun itself at www.uttings.com

I'll buy one next week and let you know how i get on with it.

Apparently the Anics jams quite often. Magazine being the problem. Apart from that it's mean to be a nice shooter.

Personally I'll probably be getting a S&W, because it's an all round great package, with decent build quality.

Does Anics 3000 have adjustable rear sight?

Can anyone recommend good CO2 pistols. Everywhere I go everyone says S&W rules. I found it very nice to fire, more so than the Anics 3000...

Yams which club were you a member of?

Was just a local club at a firing range, nothing competition or owt Shocked just a good place to go locally. They had a pistol range as well as a rifle range .. must admit I spent most of my time in the pistol range hehehe.

The Anics is great value for money and if you load the mag properly you shouldn't have any trouble. No other gun seems to compare in value, magazine capacity and power. So Anics it is for me Smile

Have to admit it would be between the two : S&W and Anics 3000........ or the longer barreled Anics 3000 FI- that one's meant to be excellent - more accurate/powerful. Thumbs Up

Ow Yams you missed out on Sunday. Loz and I were out, Meed West, and the had moto cross event going on, you would have liked. Very Happy

No, you don't "mess around". Either do it properly or not at all. They're not for little boys Twisted Evil

Best value mail order is Ramsbottom's, but it's best if you know what you want first.

So can anyone put some more online shops on here, there isn’t anything on EBay and most of the sites I have found are overseas.
I had a gun club in back yard, I have quite a big garden, many pigeons.

I purposely put messing around in exclamation marks, because you never mess around with guns, I meant it because I want the CO2 pistol for a bit of plinking around fun...

I have spring pistol and rifle at home, and have been shooting every year for aaages, with some club shooting (not anything serious). You are right they are not toys... Cheers for link Thumbs Up

Claud, the 28 shot mag and higher power is ideal for PP ... Do you know anywhere local to us that does it?? Also the slide in out (conventional "real" gun style) magazine design means that it's a LOT less fiddly, quicker to swap mags, less reloading and it looks cooler Laughing £5.95 for spare 28 shot mags, can't go wrong!

Yeah I know I missed out Sunday, Laurence rang me but I was out at Asda's and didn't have my phone with me Crying or Very sad Laughing

Maybe another weekend though.

Have to meet up to do some shooting somewhere? Twisted Evil I have a big garden where I am at the minute, the new house (if we get it) has a "big enough" garden to sort some shooting out too... Although depends where I build my pond Razz

Anics A3000 is ideal Wink

You could also try Uttings as mentioned above for prices.
Best bet would be get along to WH Smiths and pick up a copy of Gun Mart, Airgunner or Airgun World and scan the ads.

For advice you could have a look at Airgun BBS, just don't come over like a little kid as they are serious about the sport on that.

HTH Thumbs Up

Sounds great Yams! There is a gun club in Bournemouth which I haven't checked out yet.

I used to go to East Barnet (did PP practice there), which is a great indoor one. Thumbs Up

Not sure if the Bournemouth one does it. I will find out soon, will probably take a look sometime later on in the week.

O Anics or S&W??? S&W is such a solid gun though... Must remeber to get student loan through... Thumbs Up Twisted Evil Laughing

This is my lil' beastie, currently looking for a new home. BSA .22 Lightning silenced carbine with Theoben gas-ram conversion and a rather excessive scope, more pictures here. I don't have anywhere to go hunting anymore Sad

Anics Twisted Evil

It's more powerful, better magazine and better design, just needs some careful useage in order not to jam it (i.e. careful loading of mag!) otherwise they are excellent guns at a good price, especially great for PP and "plinking" in the garden.... as you don't have to mess about reloading so often and when you do it's a whole lot easier.

Also the aim of PP (as far as I know, I've never actually got round to doing it!) is speed and accuracy, you could prob do a whole PP round with 1 mag if you're a good shot hehe...

IMHO best check out the club first. Went along to a local pistol shooting club and it was set for target pistol. Chatting to some of the people there IMO they looked down their noses at the CO2 multi-shot ones.
