cg125 1997 help please

Hi all ,
Im new to motorcycles but carry out most of my own work on my cars

I am sick of my 5 mile 1hour commute due to traffic so i have bought a cg125

its 1997 has a circle headlight and lolypop indicators from what images iv seen it a cg125w says honda cdi on the engine case

it has mot till march

any how i have not rode it yet waiting till mid week when my helmet and bikegear comes

seem to fire immediately first kick , engine sounds well

couple of probs id like some help with tho

i have a hole in the exhaust , should i replace or repair

and i have no front lights working , indicators are all fine , and tail seems dim and flickering with engine revs

please advise

looking forward to speaking with you

going forward i am going to service and restore the bike and i like it so far

I've had problems with ingtion barrel failing on honda causeing no lights what so ever check the bulbs. Is the battery anygood and test the yello wire from magneto this is the chargeing wire as I remember might also be worth test the rectfier ecy a power probe and multi meter are your freinds here

Hi can you take this back to basics for me electronics isn't my strong point but I d have a multimeter

Do I have removed the lense and both bulbs look ok

Where do I go from here

If you remove the lense buy the 1 phillips if im correct and memory serves me right pull the head lamp forward and out to get to the back of the bulb un clip bulb check element as they do go fairly easy... With road condtions again do you have a good battery ? Lights will only work with engine running... On theq left had side of the engine cover that cover the fly wheel same side as gear shifter there shoul be a multi plug with several wires check the yellow wire is putting power out as this the chargeing feed for battery and for the lights if memory is correct need bike running to check
