Hey everyone,

I just changed the oil on my CG125 for the first time and made a complete rookie error, I assume I tightened the bolt back on too tight and a metal ring popped off from around the bolt.
It not a washer, at least doesn't look like one I'm just concerned wether
it was in place to keep everything tidy or I'm about to dump engine oil down the road and seize up.

Any advice would great, i'll post a pic of where the ring came off, you can see the black lip near where the bolt meets.

The bolt in the picture is under the engine, below the gear selector, every guide I have seen/read suggests that this is correct bolt to remove and contains a spring and a filter similar to a large thimble.

I found an image that shows what you mean, it is not present on my bike from a brief search apparently the other bolt is only present on certain models and if not you need to use the bolt shown in the picture I posted.

I will try to find a replacement for the ring that popped off though. Im assuming theres no way I can replace it without losing the new oil.

Took some photos of the ring that came off, any idea of a name for what I'm looking for?

EDIT: Looking at the shape and that it would be covering a rubber o-ring would it potentially be there to hold the o-ring securely?
