Not sure if this should be in General or Workshop.... sorry if it wrong.

Currently i keep my bike at the side of my house behind a locked gate. its on a concrete floor and anchored etc..... the usual.

I have been covering it with a rainex cover so far, and this has been ok, but i want something better.

Ive seen this
https://www.greenhousestores.co.uk/Canberra-8x4-Metal-Lean-To-Shed.htm?source=PLA_green&gclid=CjwKEAiA28ilBRCy5cXrgtfTxTISJABgX7E2H_QztLB7pzttCwhgltqk-Ii_OV8q-eSl8qSBCKn2NhoCG03w_wcB

I would have to do something with the door though... needs to be wider :/
But over my anchor and chain this would be a bit of extra and obviously keep the bike out of the weather.

Do you know of something better?

The alley at the side of my house is long but only 4ft 5 inches wide!

Ive heard stories of condensation in metal sheds, but i have one at the back of the house for my tools etc... had it 3 years and its bone dry always.

Any help or product you know would be appreciated Smile

If the bike is used daily I wouldn't bother to even cover it up.

yeh, but you rode yours through a stone wall…

If you use the bike daily then ease of getting sorted and on your way is a consideration (mine is my daily transport) and it gets ridden in wet weather and sat outside in wet weather, so covering it at home is not keeping it protected from the elements as much as you might think.

You imply that you're keeping it in the alley - is the alley your property and no access to anyone else?

You could simply fit a roof to the alley

Yea the land belongs to my house and other than climbing 6 foot fencing access is through the locked gate only.

I do use the bike daily mostly... i do have a car also, so sometimes use that.
When i ride to work its left out in the rain, albeit in a safe place.
But i know what you mean... it still gets wet through.

ease of use is obviously to be considered.
In an ideal world i would just park it on the drive next to the car, but in the real world it would be lucky to last a week before being stolen :/

So one more lock on a metal shed or similar isn't a problem really.

Yeah but letting it dry out over night is still better than it being CONSTANTLY wet.

Can you not look at a bike barn instead? cheaper and more simple.

Instead of having pre-installed shelters i always prefer to keep my bike in a small garage. If you love to made modification in your bike by yourself then prefer to build a small garage. It will allow you to find yourself at ease when looking to do any modification in your bike.
