So all the CSB imgurs at the ready, kids.

I park in a quiet, unassuming motorcycle bay at work. Sometimes, another bike appears after me, and dissappears mostly before I leave. I know of this phantom because quite often my mirrors are moved, or I've found my bike in a slightly different position. I'm not massively peeved about this, it's life and I could live in that there Lahndaan and come back to a lot worse. But pushing my mirrors in has made me want to find the person responsible and tell them to use another spot if it's too tight, there are only about 20 on site to pick from. Or to push his fucking bike right over and kick the fucking thing in.

So today as Karma decreed, I get my opportunity. Saw some lanky streak of urine walking over to my bike, and saw his bike for the first time. Some Yam enduro thing. I also see him drop his keys and fully square volley them about 25 yards into a bush - all without knowing, as he was fully rain-kitted. Hahahahahaaaa!

Should I go get the keys and hide them? Do nothing and let the mirror bender deal with his own issues? No, as I chuckled under my breath, I went over, picked the bunch out of the bush and made my way across the car park where I held them out to a frantic, gangly, apologetic bender. He was very thankful, and I got my opportunity to tell him about the other places to park if it gets a bit tight. Another apology and no stamped-on motorbikes.

I just KNOW I'm going to lose my keys later.

The number of times I found bikes with keys left in the ignition Rolling Eyes

I just used to pop them into a polly bag and jam them under the clocks or into the fairings where the panicking rider would eventually spot them......... "who stuck this rubbish in my bike?" Mad

OH, RIGHT, EH THANKS Shocked

Never did meet any of them as they were all at work in offices etc while I was out on the road but always saw the bikes back in place the next day, so obviously they got their keys!

I would have to charge them 5 pence for the bag these days..... Laughing

I've done this a few time myself Embarassed

However, since moving back to the UK I realise that I can't afford to be doing such things. I have solved this by attaching my front door key to the same keyring as my bike key but, this only works when going home.

I once left the keys for my KLE in the ignition in Soho for an entire day and nobody touched it.

Will try again tomorrow.

Done it a couple of times like a twat, luckily never had an issue like stolen bike/missing keys Laughing

Also seen a few keys in ignitions at work, have dropped them into reception and left him a note

Didn't want to leave it hidden in his bike in case he didnt find them

Bit off topic, but I've left some keys in the back door of a transit van in Handsworth once for about 2hours, and both the keys and van were still there afterwards! Shocked

I've said this story before, but I left my keys in my bike whilst parked up in Luton town centre. Fellow biker next to me saw them and came and found me! Very surprising for Luton.

I did something similar once.

Spent around two hours turning my apartment upside down and inside out looking for my keys before Idea Went outside to my bike that was parked in the street from the night before and there they were, still in the ignition. Brick Wall
