basically my mot is upcoming and was just wondering if a loud exhaust would be a failure ( i know that its up-to the mot tester's discretion for failing it if its loud ),, was just wondering if i should take the baffle along (not fitted) to show i have one ,, or is there any places in west yorkshire that anyone knows of that are ok to pass it on the loud exhaust

thanks people

If you've got one why not just fit the baffle for the MoT and take it out immediately after? It should only take a minute, and is most certainly not worth the hassle of having it re-done.

I suspect you would be ok. I had a 250 pass last year that was straight through and pretty loud. Though if you have the baffle may as well stick it in to be safe.

In the time it took you to post here you could have put your baffle in Smile Why worry about a retest?

I usually take my baffle and big numberplate with me to the mot place.
