Pretty much every dual sport/adventure bike ever made. Versys, V-Strom, GS, Tiger etc. etc. etc.

Didn't consider adventure bikes as not really my style, but that's something to consider.

What is your style?

With zero pretensions of going on an 'adventure' on my GS, I bought it because it's a very comfortable, neutral, easy to ride bike. I wouldn't rule out that segment until you've tried one.

It's size that puts me off adventure bikes, although I wouldn't completely rule them out, I quite like the TDR125 and would like to own a 2-stroke before they're all on the endangered species list.

They're not all huge behemoths like the gs1200 - look at the 600-800cc engine models rather than the litre+ as these will be big buggers. The Kawasaki versys isn't much bigger than the er6 it's based on. Same for the triumph tiger models. They look bigger because of the much bigger frontal area. Also F650gs, Suzuki 650 vstrom, Honda nc700x

If you want a small dual sport bike there always the varadero 125 Wink

The Z1000sx is fairly upright, pretty quick and handles well... So I'm told.

I've started looking at bikes that are a bit more suited to long rides and carrying stuff than the Street Triple, but I don't want to loose too much of the street's fun factor.

Z1000sx and Tiger 800/1050 sport are on the test ride list so far.

270KG My Street Triple doesn't weigh that with me on it and a full tank! and they gave it a 51bhp (de-tuned) Deauville engine and automatic gearbox... (Source = MCN

It looks different though, I kinda want to ride one just because it is so different Shocked Wouldn't buy one though.

A woman at work has one, good its awful. The tyres are more square than anything I've seen and she only replaced them a month or so previous. Fuck knows what it rides like but it looks a bit unstable, especially at low speeds. I'd ask her but she's a right twat, started mouthing off about how I was going to kill myself getting a thou after 2 months riding to people but wouldnt say anything to my face when I asked. Neutral
