Well, what to say really? Hand-built enduro and MX motorcycles with two stroke engines 125, 150, 250 and 300 ccm (MX300 - 6,500eur) - They do not say, what's it based on. I do not believe the engine is made by CZ or any Czech manufacturer. XC = enduro, MX = motocross.
Marzocchi suspension, wheels from Excel, HGS exhaust system, brakes from Nissin...

Motorcycles will be launched on February 2015, made by MCF in Slusovice, CZE.

AFAIK CZ went belly up in 1997 after being bought out by Cagiva, the bikes could possibly be of Italian design though CZ did make water cooled 2 strokes before closing their doors.

I/we know CZ is owned by Cagiva, CZ even produced motorcycles with Cagiva badges. Thumbs Up

The last new model of CZ I saw for sale was back in the mid/late 90s in East End Motorcycles in Belfast, it was a single cylinder water cooled roadster 250 with mechanical powervalve, the bike did sell and I have been trying to chase it up ever since, I can only assume the engine was originally a motocross engine detuned for road use.

Yes, there was Cagiva/CZ Roadster 125/200, then a enduro called W and I'm not sure, but the CZ 180 (two stroke) was also badged as Cagiva. The roadster 125 was a two stroke. The four stroke engine was a redesigned CZ 175/180 OHC, now being 200cc.

A video of the CZ 180 OHC engine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UEkqXlktRQ
I'm not quite sure, but this engine was designed by Frantisek Pudil himself, before he died of course.

I think the old CZ twin port 250cc single is still being made in India under the Yedzi brand, not a bad looking bike for such an old design.

One of my Bitza attempts, basically an old 350 twin made into a trail bike sorta thing with a few MZ bits and a home brew 2-1 high level exhaust made from old Jawa/CZ bits and bobs and an MZ seat, the exhaust linkage holds a Honda H100 reed valve which meant the shortened exhaust made the strangest sound between 3-5k rpm, not as pretty as the Indian offering but it was good fun for a couple of hundred quid.

That is interesting. They've got stiff competition though. Would people really take a €1500 drop in price over something like a CRF250R to get one or would they just stump up the extra for a well known/established brand? Time will tell I guess. I'm not saying that CZ aren't well established either but as you've already pointed out, they've totally fallen off the radar in recent years.

I would have one but I won't be in a position to buy a brand new off road bike unless I win the lottery so it's easy to speculate when you don't have any cash on the line.
