Hond CBR FY right foot pillion Peg and Exhaust Damaged

Hi all,

someone tried to overtake me at the roundabout while I was standstill, and caught my Exhaust resulting in the Exhaust dislocated and dented and the foot Pillion peg bracket snapped off.

I have looked up on eBay for a replacement for the bracket but there are hardly any.

based on the Picture, the Mechanic estimated the costs of repair to £200, Straightening Exhaust and second hand brackets.

any help on where I can get replacement is much appreciated,

Don't for the the £12 gasket

BTW parts for the CBR600F are identical from 1999 (FX) all the way to when the old CBR600F ended production in 2006. So these will fit

I just had a think about this (just got up) check your down pipes if the impact was enough to bend the substantial alloy footpegs and the thick stainless exhaust which is stock on the CBR.

Then your down pipes where it connects to the exhaust is probably bent too.

I'd call the insurance.

wow!! haven't seen these ..probably not using the right key word
THANK YOU!!

I will take the bike next week for close assessment of the exhaust damage.
I never actually liked the sound of that exhaust anyway, so if it cost the same (my insurance, parts/labour) I might go for one with a Beefy sound.

any advice on an exhaust with beefy sound Please? you know the one you get from newish Bikes Wink
