Any suggestions, planning the space in my head and I can't see I would fit a tent and beds. I have 3 piece givi luggage and a tank bag.

I did the same on a gsxr600 for two weeks around the alps with soft luggage. Was a squeeze tbh.

You think you will have any input? Laughing

By the time the woman has finished packing you will be lucky to get your skiddies in somewhere!

For me, it usually worked out that each person had a side case. What they put in it was completely up to them. Top case had camping gear (stoves, gas, torch etc). Tent gets lashed on top of that. Sleeping bags on top of panniers strapped to the pannier frame.

EDIT: If you're travelling two up, forget an air bed, you wont have room. Spend well on self-inflating mats. They roll down to a fraction of the size. Travel towels are useful too. Much smaller and dry quickly.

Remember your cases and panniers will have weight limits.

Get her a CBT session and her own bike?

She is pretty good TBH, she lived in a tent for 3 months with work and has tiny clothes. Her handbag however is another matter Laughing

GF and I do a pannier each, so 30l. Camping gear goes on the back.

In the winter we don't camp so warmer bulkier stuff goes on the back. When touring Europe we'll usually have a fair amount of clothes for sightseeing and then going out partying in the evening.

On long continental tours it's pretty much one to wear, one to wash, and one to change. Tools have to go in my pannier.

All electrical gear, camera's, laptop/tablet etc.. goes in the tank bag.

Sounds simple, but it's not.

If I lay everything out, it fill the floor of a small living room probably.

Give her a pannier for her stuff. My rule with Mrs stinkwheel is you get one pannier, not expanded (NO expandable luggage should be expanded when you leave).

Camping stuff then goes between my pannier and the big dry bag. Bike gear (waterprofs etc) in the tank bag.

There. 2 weeks camping gear on board.

Stinkwheel you're cruel. I used to at least let her expand it (oxford sports panniers)

I've since changed to some 21 bros panniers so no expanding those.

She has her own bike now and packs, among other things, a full size pillow.

Hmmm, everything is OK except for Tent and roll matt/airbed sleeping bags, all that needs to fit in my top box.

I'll have a play!

We take a pannier each. Camera and other stuff is split between tankbag and top box. I put the drybag with the sleeping stuff in it ontop of one pannier and the tent on the other one. If yer sleeping bag/mat is small enough you can put them in the pannier or topbox. Don't put yer tent in a pannier, if its wet it could be a pain in the arse.

when/where are you going? if you're game, you could go a hammock and a tarp each. DD hammocks do a standard hammock for £25, ultra light for £52.
