I've been smoking an e-cigarette since last Friday and it's been really good so far, I've only had a handful of real fags in that time, mostly due to running out of battery on nights out as opposed to needing the real thing.
The only problem I have with it is that the first few tokes seem to be really harsh, especially when it's the first of the day. Even taking tiny tokes it feels like a punch to the lungs and I'm not sure why. Any ideas why this might be?

Maybe try liquids with less nicotine.... I found the 12mg was like sucking a straw, but the 24mg was like a punch in the chest every puff

What sort are you using? I used the E-Lites (from Morrisons) and the red refills are also insanely harsh. I don't think the strength alone is the issue, as I've had e-liquid from a different source at 24mg and it was not harsh at all.

but yeah, go to the e-cig thread Thumbs Up

I've got a Tornado-T by totally wicked, and I'm using their 18mg liquid. After I've had a few tokes it's smooth so it's not that it's too strong..

What juice are you vaping?

The higher the PG count in the juice the harsher the vape.

Oh and... E-cig thread... https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=274478
