My peugeot blaster was doing around 60mph but then had exhaust issues. Fitted a new full through exhaust but now the bike is only doing around 40mph max. Cleaned carbs, filter and had new spark plugs. Any advice will be appreciated.

Which engine size is it?

Also, why did it need new spark plugS - was one plug not enough?

is the new Exhaust a sports exhaust?
it may need to get the carb rejetted or change the rollers to suit the pipe

were there any rollers supplied with the new pipe?

Blasters only came as 50cc AFAIK

Is new pipe the same as the old one

As above are rollors right does it need a new belt

And PS it wasn't doing 60

I don't know enough about scooters to say whether one particular 'name' was put on multiple sizes or not.

I do know however that a 50cc scooter will not have been doing 60mph, unless it was on a trailer.

To do 60mph it has been played with alot if it is air cooled my bike is modified all bar the engine size and a can't hit 60 but if its watercooled you have more chance. If sport exhaust need to up jet and rollers I got a new exhaust and had to change the clutch springs for it to run right . Also is there a ristrictor in the pipe or end can. If you have brought a 70cc pipe will not have a great effect on a 50

It's a 2 smoke, liquid cooled, 50 weighing about 80kg. Doesn't do 60 though. OP probably has one with Kph clocks and hasn't noticed/learned the alphabet far enough to realise the markings..... 60 kph = 37 Mph which sounds more realistic.

Start by informing the DVLA and your insurers that you've converted it from a moped to a motorcycle.
