Rider error.

- Brakes to late
- Grabs front brake before turning

Using the front brake prevented him from turning, would of a better choice to attempt the back brake with a strong lean to bring him tight into the corner and try and get around it (if he felt he was going to fast).

Watching it a few times does make me wonder why he didn't just try to take the corner, would of stood a better chance and only risk low siding it as opposed to the given outcome.

Could of done this, could of done that..

Sucks either way.

Seems to me, the target fixation is just an excuse used by people, that just panic whenever they've got a problem.

oh dear, great road too, he wasn't even going at great speed, he was lucky there wasn't anything else about.

I would say no target fixation, he just panicked and kept braking when the bike stood up.

Sort of thing I would do....

The guy in the video, to my eyes, got distracted by the fact that the road turned left immediately after it turned right, and that he could in fact see through the whole of the curve. He probably momentarily thought about replanning his line to straighten the two curves. And in that moment, he wasn't looking in the right place, and the rushing effect of looking straight ahead at rapidly approaching scenery (a lot like ground rush) made him think he was going too fast. Then survival reactions kicked in: braked and stiffened up, while staring at the thing he didn't want to hit.

He was looking in the wrong place and he hit what he was looking at. It fits the definition.

Just a bit of inexperience I would surmise. I am sure he will take the learning experience and become a better rider. I am sure we have all made elementary errors like that, especially in our early years.
