GUNK Engine Degreasant

Ouch, being shown to be a rip-off in comparison to Halfords (which in turn is a rip-off to normal shops (which are a rip-off compared to online)) is not a good thing....

No ouch felt here. Everyone is free to purchase from where they wish, may it be on price or convenience, online or via a street shop.

So, Halfords win on this one price wise and I will try not to lay awake at night thinking about it. Halfords loose on just about everything else price wise.

But don't let that get in the way of a good moan. As you were chaps.

So what's the point in launching a new product range if you can't price it competitively? Sure people might tack it onto an accompanying oil order, but they probably won't be buying from you if all they are after is GUNK stuff.

No need to be so defensive, in fact rudeness might just cost you a few customers Wink

I apologise if you felt I was being rude, that was not my intention.

But you are quite correct, our core business is oil/lubricants, we are competitive and provide a very good service. The Gunk is very much an add to the basket product.

If someone is after Gunk, then whilst they buy their oil then the extra cost over Halfords, may still be a saving over making a special trip to Halfords for Gunk. For me at least that would cost more in fuel then the extra cost Opie.

I will have a look at pricing and see what I can do, however I doubt we be able to match Halfords as on a product like this they win big style on buying power.

As to my presumptions being wrong, so you do pay the forums that you post the exclusive amazing special offers on?

Can you offer a better discount to BCF? You offer us 10% off but it's very easy to get your website to give a 15% discount. You're expecting us to pay more than anyone else can pay when ordering on your website.

You are assuming we post on all of those forums, we don't.

We do pay advertising on many clubs, but all clubs get the same offers. So yes, your presumptions are wrong.

I dont like the 15% thing when you leave our site, but I have a boss and he wants it that way. I'll win him over eventually, your comments help with that. Smile

And yes, we are competitive (competitive does not mean being the cheapest) and do provide a good service. Has your experience purchasing from us been different?
