As some of you may know, I have been plagued with steamed-up glasses while riding my moped. I have tried many methods to stop them from fogging, all to no avail. Its was only today that I managed to figure out why they were steaming up.
I have 2 openable vents on my helmet - one under my nose, one on the top.
I have always had the front vent open, thinking that my breath would blow out of there, thus not fogging my glasses up. But this was not the case.
In fact what was happening, was that rather than blowing out of the vent, my breath was being forced back into my face by the slipstream. Closing the front vent and opening the top one now allows me to close the visor right down, and no more fogged glasses!
Just thought I would share that tip with you, incase any of your are in similar situations

Alternatively/additionally, use some Bob Heath spray on your specs as well as inside your visor...

I have tried all sprays, and methods of keeping them fog free. I guess I just have very hot breath Smile

And I have a fog city on my visor, so dont need to worry about that steaming up.

I think it might also work if you open both vents.

Thanks. I will give it a go this weekend. Mind you, even my mirrors are steaming up when I ride at the moment.

I second that, they're great. Foggy Respro Guard is the proper name, I think. I have chronics problems with fogged specs too, BTW.
