Year 2000. On back of a mates Cagiva Mito which was putting out something like 40bhp. I had no idea what that meant.

I nearly died many times.

It was a stunning bike though, would have been worth it.

Went on the back of Fisty's bike last year one of the best pillion rides I've had so far. Was quite fun as well. If weird not much for being pillion on a sports bike. Although saying that a member still owes me a pillion ride.

Think it must have been 2012 BCF BBQ when I still had noob plates.

In fact that was the first time I've ever been on a bigger bike, period. Even if it was pillion.

It was Paddy that peer-pressured me to jump on and ride.. his behind. (XR 400?SM)

I remember just next to my arse there was a big fairing with a melted hole right through it from the exhaust heat..

I shat my pants as soon as we pulled out onto the main road, never felt anything like it acceleration wise. (Was used to a 4t 125 to be fair) and with true paddy style I remember hearing the rev limiter many times.

What happened next was pure lulzy. I hear a muffled 'SIT BACK A BIT' coming from his helmet and so I did.

Next thing I know the front wheel was in the air.

Poopy time.

I was hanging on for grim death whilst paddy gave the front tyre a rest.


So thanks once again.

I've not been pillion since.

I fucking hate riding pillion on nearly everyone except my old Dad. I've been on the back of his bike since I was about 5! Getting a lift of some of my mates, some of whom ride pretty similar to myself and who I've ridden with for over 10 years can be terrifying. Its the sight difference in lines that does it to me. I find the best thing to do, if you HAVE to ride pillion, is to shut your eyes and try to relax a bit.

Last time i rode pillion was after i had passed my mod 1.
We bagan heading back to training centre and the instructors bike got a flat rear tyre so i was pillion the rest of the way back.

Back of an s1000rr basically no pillion seat and getting battered by the wind at break neck speeds (private road ) loved every minute of it, went through corners 2 up at speeds I never thought possible

Before that 2 years ago on my mates GN 125 up and down a quiet rode (on L plates)

Remember having my mate on the back once,and he is about 6 foot 7.He was reaching forward and working the clutch and throttle and i was doing the gears while he was looking over my shoulder.Was doing about 110 at one point lol.
