Hi , i have an aerox which just had a new piston and which had a scored piston and the bore but the bore is very smooth and only had a black mark and not any scratches , it had a 24mm carb which i could of not tune it correctly it was like it was taking to much air and spluttering same what im having now ive tried jets and sparks and all that and now ive put a 21 mm carb in tried jets 80-92 and still nothing it gets better sometimes when you fiddle with the carb just cant get it right, could it be the bore but sometimes it goes without spluttering just normal sound , it has compression it shoots fingers out when you cover and kick start it , anyone know what it could be ?

Why are you running it on fingers?

Ive tried the compression by covering the spark plug hole and starting it shoots your finger out , and the spark plugs kind of black with little bit of brown and inside of plug is a little wet ?

How many psi does your finger register when you check the compression?

If you stick your finger over the end of a foot pump pipe, it'll get pushed off by the air pressure.

You would expect an engine to have much higher pressure than that.

Therefore, your test just proves that you are a monkey with no idea.

Look i know it has good compression , ive reached speeds with over 70mph and ive had mopeds with no compression and done finger tests and when theres really low compression and you put your finger in the hole and push in as hard as you can it just dont shoot out , and my one does and if there wasnt any compression bike wouldnt start or stuff like that but now you can reach quite high speeds with it but just as it splutters or bogs or backfires thats what it does and im looking for someone to help me not to have an argument

if plug be black, tis means its running too rich/ air leak

wet plug could mean over fueling or you flooded it

but i may be wrong

Ive re sealed all the manifold and all over the carb where it sticks in and theres %100 no air leak where the manifold is , where else could the leak be ? And the richness ad you said if i lower jet less than 89 it gets worse ? , could it be a faulty carb but ive put new gaskets in , and one thing i noticed that when i open choke up it wont run at all and when i squeze the filter in to my hands it just gonna cut out , could it be now not enough air ?

The reason that you're not receiving many positive comments is two-fold:-
Firstly, your attitude stinks.
Secondly, this is a bikers forum and most of us genuinely don't know anything about peds/scooters.
You'd be better off trying a chav-ped forum.

I think you need to find out which size carb should be fitted to your ped.

Jet it as per factory settings and set the carb as per the factory settings.

This should alleviate the spluttering from the rest of us on here Laughing

That won't work in the slightest - the engine has been more fucked about with than a 10 year old boy visiting neverland ranch for the weekend...

Now, let's asume you ever got close to 70mph on this heap. The operative word here is 'got', in the past tense.

You can't now. Something has changed. Maybe your rings are fucked due to bad jetting and you have lost compression? A 'finger test' means two parts of fuck all I'm afraid - less than 30psi will pop your finger off the spark plug hole and the engine may well start, but it won't run right.

I'm expecting you to start on about how you know what you're doing now, so carry on with that - if you had the slightest clue how to not be a retard you would test the compression properly for a start, instead of defending what is a useless 'test'.

What colour powerband is in it? Must be a bright one if it does 70mph.
