Doh because I left the heated grips switched on. That wouldn't have been a problem if I'd wired them up to the ignition wire, but that would have meant taking the tank off which I was too lazy (inept) to do.
Bastard.
Anywho, tried bump start, but nada. Anyone know how much a charger costs? What is the deal, do you just take the battery out and plug it in to the charger via the mains etc?
Cheers all,
Gracie |

Best option I reckon is an optimate charger.
You get a connection with a rubber cap that fits to the battery so whenever you get home you can plug the bike straight in to the charger without even taking the tank/seat off. Also can keep it plugged in indefinately and not fry the battery.

Depends what type of charger you want mate. An optimate type is about £40.
With the optimate type, you can attach it to the battery in situ and it will charge/recondition as necessary. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

Well if you hadn't been such a dumpling in the first place and reminded to turn them off then you wouldn't be in this position in the first place now - would you Luke!!!
Maybe you should keep your mind on things!!! ____________________ I have an asshole tolerance level of -10

I've got a little bike charger which cost about £15 from Halfords (or somewhere similar).
Don't normally bother taking the battery out, it's too much hassle. If you can access if easily then you may as well just wire it up in-situ. Just remember not to contact the frame with the live (especially if you're touching it!) ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!
