Hi all,

The best thing about a new year is new and improved motorbikes after recently looking at the Pulse Adrenaline 250 I wasn't amazed but felt like it fitted the budget, I'm not comparing the 250 v 125 engine power here but the reason I mention it is that I felt the design needed a little spruce along side small adjustments here and there and after keeping an eye on the lexmoto website I noticed the upload of the "Lexmoto Adrenaline" initially thinking it was a new pulse on the wrong website, after some research and time the pictures have finally been released.

So a new 125cc supermoto comes to the market at only £100 more (not including registration fee) than the Pulse Adrenaline 125.. with a bunch of new features, could this be the new go to supermoto?

Lets start with the looks;
https://s27.postimg.org/4hp1o2osz/101.png

https://s4.postimg.org/4r34g1sv1/light.png

https://s7.postimg.org/t8mwfj11n/front.png

https://s29.postimg.org/sf3l60jtj/bars.png

Colour Options;

Black / Red
Black / Orange
Black / Green
White / Blue
White / Yellow

Improved Features;

- New and improved plastics
- Change of styling
- Comes with stainless steel bolts (where possible, help decrease rust)
- LED Indicators
- Lithium Ion Battery
- Stainless steel exhaust
- Double walled rims
- Adjustable front and rear suspension
- Powered by a "Suzuki Licensed GS125" engine
- Better stock tyres

The websites picture demonstrate the bike with both the £99.99 lextek custom slip on exhaust and the stock can.. my money goes to the design of the lextek exhaust, makes the bike look that little bit nicer.

As the models only just been added to the website parts are still all over the place and not all there.. sure soon to be added, but going of all other models should be cheap enough for near enough everything.

So.. opinions?

I honestly thought this was spam until I checked your other posts. Still...

It'll be another rusty chinese piece of shit in 12 months. In 3 years it'll be so far gone that I doubt it'll go through an MOT without having to spend the value of the bike on replacement parts or bodging it beyond belief.

I've seen a few modern Lexmoto's and they always strike me as crap. Could it be the new go to supermoto? Only if everybody has lost their freaking minds. It even looks like crappy build quality in the photos.

My main question is, why the hell would anybody spend £2k on this POS when you could spend £700 on a CG or £1300 on a YBR, ride it around until you're 19, sell it, spend the extra £700 on doing your A2 then sell it and spend the £1300 on a Bandit 6 or similar. Or in that time save up more money and getting an A2 legal supermoto if thats your thing.

I just don't see the point in spending £2k on a pile of chinese scrap.

It's just another variant of a 125gy-2b. To be exact this one is xflm125gy-2b, disregard the lm part that lexmoto have added and it's a pioneer made one...... so it is a pulse adrenaline just with different bolt on tat.

Both operate under llexter I think (import company).. does make me wonder why they released this as a lexmoto as opposed to an update pulse adrenaline 125, fighting themselves for customers in a way.

I've been looking at Suzuki Bandit's and from what I've seen (providing i'm not to tall) this will be the route I will go down, unless an insurance quote says otherwise.. A2 as soon as possible and then just bide the time.. I await the days where insurance quotes are cheap as chips for every bike.

My mate passed at 19, bike is outside in a very nice area. 600 bandit, he's around 6ft 2".

I think he pays around £400 for insurance (TPFT). He fits the bike no problems, although it has got a 50mm jack up kit.

This is my first year so as you can imagine insurance quotes where ridiculous, more so the compulsory excess.

Same age, an inch shorter (not what she said Shocked Laughing).

I'll keep the jack up kit in mind.. and add in the factor of a restriction kit.. seem some nice styled second hand ones out there.

I'm toying with the idea of doing my A2.. staying on the 125 and then saving for a cheap local bandit and adding things to it slowly (meanwhile being a SORN).. then put it on the road when ready..

Or.. just wait until I can afford to put one on the road and get it then, choices choices.. long way away yet though.. A2 First.

A YBR is chinese. Made by the Jianshe company.

A CBF is made in india.

Triumphs are made in Malaysia. Laughing

It looks the same as the old model, but the adjustable forks and lithium battery interest me....

Id like to take the forks apart just to see if they really are fully adjustable cartridge forks.

Possibly streamlining. As I said though it is the same bike from the same factory as the pulse adrenaline just different bolt on tat, all available in China for absolute peanuts

- New and improved plastics - Model update not worth extra £
- Change of styling - as above
- Comes with stainless steel bolts (where possible, help decrease rust) - come with their own host of issues though
- LED Indicators - wow so advert worthy
- Lithium Ion Battery - LOL this will fail
- Stainless steel exhaust - woo-fucking-hoo and lextech cans are rebranded no names from taobao that cost about £5
- Double walled rims
- Adjustable front and rear suspension
- Powered by a "Suzuki Licensed GS125" engine - this is not new
- Better stock tyres - affirmed by who?

I want to see advancement, not the same crap wearing a different skirt.

No.
A 17" wheeled supermoto should weigh under 110kg and ideally make over 50hp as a baseline.
This weighs 128kg and makes a claimed 11.2hp.
So it's heavy and slow by 125 standards, never mind decent 'supermoto' standards.

Urban commuting is like 99% of my riding, until recently where I've had to go from on multiple long distance trips, think riding through the city centre has taught me the art of filtering.

Anyhow.. is their a like a list of commuter bikes £1,000 - £,2,000, I'm aware common ones are like Kawasaki ER5, Suzuki Bandit, GPZ 500 etc.

If I had cash to spend, I'd get a GSXR1000 for the best commuting experience with that budget.

If I wanted to save money, I'd consider a GPZ500s.

If it's a 125cc you're after then a Lexmoto ZSX might be worth a look, but even then you're paying for the design.. look in-depth at it's specs and it still has all the basics with a fancy frame.

Supermoto's generally don't make good commuters more short stints of fun from what I've been advised so wouldn't really have one just as my only bike.

Would be about the only bike on that list I would feel comfortable with owning (based on design and style).

After running a chinese 125 I don't think the power to weight ratio would bother me in honesty.. anything with a bit of speed beats a 125.. I heard that GSF 600's are like little rockets in comparison.

Looking at them brakes I'd say you would have to be nuts going over 20mph. Would love to see one do an emergency stop, believe my old CG with drum brakes were better.

As mentioned, build quality looks awful even in the marketing pictures.

That front brake disc looks like its been made of cheese and is desperately trying to restrain from going mouldy while the picture is taken.

Same old crap that will rust to bits in no time.

It would make much more sense to spend less on a used, looked after bike that will retain its value until you can buy the bike you really want.
Am sure it will appeal to many a new buyer though as it's styled similar to its bigger / well known brothers and has a 'features' list that sounds cool.

The main point of writing a mini-review or spec sheet/asking opinions.

If I was buying a bike for the first time and wanted a supermoto I'd probably go with this based on looks.. I just feel the pulse adrenaline is a little outdated.

And good spot on the brakes, eek. Shocked

I think it's called something like 'style over substance', you wouldn't be the first or last to fall for it Wink

Must.. not.. enter.. showroom.. alone with loads of money..

Thankfully I resisted the urge when purchasing my first motorbike and went with cheap and usable over expensive and a sheep disguised wolves clothing so to speak.

Same might not be said when shopping for an A2 bike though Surprised
