I have an order with them at the moment for alot of parts for the bike.
Better ring them and ask them to add a fender to that.
when I asked how much one was on the phone she told me £65, I told her to forget it.
I didn't know they did pattern ones
sales staff arn't very helpful...
Well, thanks for the heads up.

David Silver Spares as mentioned are the best bet for alot of Honda kit esp the CG125, but spending money on a CG these bikes run and run and run. |

I would agree,
I have heard these bikes do indeed run and run and run.
It only takes 14 years of WWOI (wankers worked on it) to start taking its toll.
Unfortunently for this little bike, one owner cut two massive wholes in the filter element, somewher along the line its lost the air filter rubber seal also.
Then somebody managed to take a little bit out of the alternator side engine cover, just where a bolt goes in.
This may not have been just so bad, but being the only bolt in that area of the cover, it did suffer from moisture getting in.
This might not have been so bad if there had been a gasket on the engine case.
the points where also ragged.
so thats,
air box element,
air box rubber seal
alternator side casing
set of points
alternator side casing gasket
oh, and somebody has had the staor plate out once or twice, and the 3 bolts that hold it in are mushed.
i dont understand the mentality of people who round bolts then put them back in, but then that is the WWOI moto.
6 bolts for stator plate (3spare incase i round them)
needed to get a new bit of fairing for going over the bater also, as its held in with a cable tie
and a front fender (which i have yet to get)
Poor little bike deserves some TLC after all the abuse its got.
by the way, the pattern fender the david silver does, is for the old japanese model, they can not advise me if it will fit my brazil or not !
anybody any idea if it would ! ?
thanks for the feedback,
Jamie |
