So far so bad! The machine itself is fine, good screen, works smoothly etc. However nothing seems to work on it. The office 365 personal 1 year subscription wont initialise and the best info I can get off MS community is that its something to do with security certificates, urrrrr maybe or maybe because its confused with my existing office on my laptop urrrr or maybe something else! Tried downloading an app to watch Youtube on but that wont initialise either, so tried going to youtube direct through explorer, that wouldn't work because of a problem with the security certificate being expired, so I look at the certificate and its valid until may 2015! hmm.

Ive got a feeling this is going to go on and on and on. I'l give it another week of tinkering but if no progress then its going back Sainsburys and il spend my necter points on Vino. The most ridiculous thing is looking at the MS forums the problems might be fixed by using it with a completely new Microsoft account. Stupid because surely the whole point (apart form making MS money) of having one account is you can use it over multiple devices.

My son got one for Xmas.

Do you have a micro usb to full size USB converter?

If so connect it to the tablet and then connect a usb keyboard.

Now do a restart whilst holding down the left shift key.

You then have the option of doing a full factory wipe.

I found this out at about 1am Boxing Day morning. We had managed to stop any desktop applications working and I to thought I would be returning it. 7 weeks later it's still going strong.

The converter thingies can be bought off ebay for about £2.
