Why? Saw a mohawk yesterday, along with another wearing tiger ears and a tail. If the aim is to look like a nob then I suppose I see the appeal.

Id say that summarises it quite well - but to each their own I suppose!

I used to have a gorilla mask gaffer-taped to the back of mine, back in the very early part of last decade (!) ... complete with a crazy mop of black shaggy hair.

It was much cooler than those silly ears (well, I thought so at the time...)

The hair got a bit minging what with rain and snow, etc., (cos my bloke at the time used to borrow it to use when couriering Laughing ) ... so after about six months I took it off again.

Wasn't it some sort of charity thing originally? I seem to remember reading about someone from a motorcycle club selling them to raise money for the family of a biker that crashed - but that was years ago.

Hopefully, it won't catch on, but I occasionally see someone riding around with a bright pink ponytail stuck to the back of their lid!

This could catch on though...

What's the general consensus on airbrushed helmets? You know, those funny (and sometimes creepy) faces. I can just imagine pulling up at lights or driving through town with one Laughing

Not keen on the stick on things, but did like one of the old index Fox helmets.

Cannot find any pictures of it, it was a very simple design like the cat one

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/21/bf/7b/21bf7b0f6bc215fde08a928c85e363af.jpg

Same company that make the rocketeer, iron man, and predator helmets.

@under_rated - consensus from sable is I don't care what you put on your head. After years of being told 'well I wouldn't trust a cheap helmet with my head!' every time a discussion sways towards motorcycle helmets, I have decided I do, and I couldn't give a rats bottom what anyone else thinks of it.

Back in the late 80's early 90's I had fury pig ears on my lid. Pissed loads off, made loads giggle, made me smile.

Just like pointed shoes now, had them way back when, wouldn't have them now.

In my time, I have to somewhat sadly admit --- though bound to say, earning tons of street cred --- I've been known to adorn my helmets with cat's eyes -- albeit inadvertently, one after another -- and the occasional tailback bringing up the rear . . .

You see what I did there?

Off the fucking chain innit! Laughing Embarassed Puke
But in my defence the key used to rattle out of the ignition!

Safe to say I haven't had one since Clapping.
Although, it might not look to bad on an MX lid Thinking Plus it would make me look even taller on the KTM! Have to be orange or black though, obviously. Cool

I have a mohawk cause I think it looks funny and don't really care if people have a problem with it. I guess people like to read into things too much but that's their problem not mine Laughing

Saw quite a few of these a couple of years ago on the Isle during either TT or Grand Prix in various forms including a cookie monster one. It all adds to the rich tapestry of life I suppose. Each to their own and just a bit of fun I guess.

I had my lid airbrushed with CLANGER on the back when I had my sv painted oodles of years ago. It was a lot better than the snake painted on it previously...

Its down to personal taste / personal choice. Some of them make me laugh, some of them make me groan. But I guess they get themselves noticed...can't be a bad thing can it? Especially if they don't have loud pipes... Confused

I used to have a footling Mohawk. I cut it short and kept it under my helmet. Now my hair billows out the back. Never saw the point in a strap on when you could have the real thing though, however limp it got on a rainy day.

Personally I wouldn't mind a Mohawk that would be if I had a rat bike I've always fancied one in neon blue. Wouldn't actually suit me personally though in real life.
