Well its time to purchase a new bike i think. I have a good bit of equity after selling my house, and am looking at getting myself a second hand Honda CBR of some description.

Can someone please tell me what web site i can access which will give me figures to get me started.

Cheers

Try...

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/BIKES/

On the left hand side after the search column there is a price-guide link... Thumbs Up

Thanks

Shame it cost £2.95 to get an idea.

Are there any free sites?

Im looking to find out a reasonable price for this;

Honda CBR 600F-V. 1997 R reg. Black in colour, only done 9500 miles genuine. Always garaged and not seen much rain. Only 2 owners from new. 6 months tax and 6 months MOT. Comes with Iridium double bubble screen and GForce can. Complete with originals. Excellent bike and a real looker. Very very well looked after.

Might be able to help you. I was looking for CBRs before. I'm guessing from your signature that you're thinking 600 right? If not, my help will be useless

Here is a roundabout price for them by year. The lower figure is best private price, the top is highest dealer price:

'87-'90 £800-1500
'91-'94 £1200-2200
'95-'98 £2600-3300
'99-'00 £2900-4300
'01-'04 £4000-5500

Look around though. On ebay, those prices will be lower. For example, I was offered a 99 model for £1900.

If G reads this thread he'll say don't go for any below 99 as he doesn't like the look of them - only the earliest ones were known as Jelly moulds and don't let him convince you otherwise! But he is right, from 99, they were much better with an aluminium frame and ram air.

Hope that helps

Try Used Bike Guide. I think WH Smiths stock it, although last one I bought was from a Borders bookshop.
