I think daemonoid has it. Or something similar. E.g. a quote under one (English) surname at the same address kills a "new customer discount" deal because it knows you've used them before (maybe years ago; maybe for a different product even) which the other surname gets because it's not been used.

Do you have bad credit? Your credit rating can affect insurance (or so I've been told)... Perhaps your real persona is dodgy?

An insurance company wouldn't do a credit check for every quote.

From this whole thread I have taken away the info that the OP's [occasional sur]name is Garry.

So therefore BCF has a Titz and a Garry...

It's possible that the quote system is checking an insurance database and finding something under your chinese name but nothing under your English one or vice versa and that's affecting the quotes. More likely I think you have entered something different or it is the cookies issue.

I just had a play and did 2 identical in all but name quotes, using different browsers. They were nearly all exactly the same, but a few insurers gave Mr Chao Changpeng quotes of a couple of pounds more expensive than Mr Michael Williams.

Not quite the same extent as OP claims, but there was a difference!

If they really are being anti-Chinese, can you somehow get them for it?

Just skimmed the thread so it may have already been mentioned, but it could just be that you've logged back on from the same computer and run the same search on the same website, which is often noted by them, they see you're back to check again so bump the price up.

It happens on a lot of price comparison things.

It's a common knowledge that regular wank affects your eye sight. So yes, you are higher risk.

So what name is the cheapest? Deed Poll anyone?
