Hi All,

Friends birthday is coming up, and wanted to get a toolkit for him for his bike, but wasn't sure if the bike uses metric or imperial?

Could anyone shed some light?

The 3rd. Reich uses metric system, just like the whole Europe and Asia. There are only a few places on the globe that live in the middle ages and use inches, elbows, feet and who knows what else to measure things. Thumbs Up

F800GS? Best thing you can get is Torx (both male and female). Bavarians think they're a gas.

Torx bolts = greater surface area contact between tool and head than hex bolts = less chance of them rounding off over time. Also Torx tools fit in regular hex bolts so you don't need to carry both.

I think they are shaizer!

I use them on a daily basis in my place of work...... they get rounded off pretty easily, especially if there is any crap left inside the hole.

put a front mudgard extender on at the weekend, nearly made a nice mess of one torx screw taking the mudguard off (well the tools are from Halfords...) but the screws shouldn't be made from cheese
