If you can beg or borrow a spring compression tool, it makes it a lot easier to free-off the pre-tensioner.
It's a common problem on those, because of the road muck thrown about by the back wheel.
I have fitted a hugger to mine, which helps a lot but I am thinking of fitting some sort of gaiter over it, if I can find something to fit. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)
