For the last week or so the "meeja" have been getting their, collective, knickers in a twist about the, as yet, unconfirmed televised leaders debates.
The political mouthpieces have joined in with the expected, tit for tat, garbage, we all know and love.

Are we really supposed to believe that a televised "debate" will be anything more than a stage managed love in, with pre prepared questions and answers, a vetted studio audience and a bloke with a "Applause Now" board just out of shot?

The contempt these, arrogant, fukwits, (the meeja luvvies and the political parasites), have for the population, at large, seems to know no bounds.

In other news, plain packaging for ciggies is going to get the nod, (look at us we've done something Rolling Eyes ), pre election.
The Chilcott report still hasn't made an appearance!
The MP's paedo, sex party special, inquiry looks like it can't find an unconnected, apparatchik, lickspittle, to do as they're told!

Cynical moi?
Anyone would think there's an election coming up!

Oh, hang on.........

What's the betting that, as if by magic, some money will be found, down the back of the, political, sofa to fund a public sector bribe, sorry pay rise, which will go nicely with the, now traditional, promise of the post election tax cut!

Feel free to add any other politcal bollox or bullshit you've may have seen.

The Wail Online and, presumably, the Evening Standard are reporting that 80mph speed limits for M/ways are being "looked at" by ministers!

Pre-election bollox here

We should be able to prosecute them under the Trades Description Act if they welch on their pre election promises. Lets be honest, they are just things they say and then come up with reasons why they can't implement them.

I'm convinced if the Tories get in they will find a way to get out of the EU referendum.

Make no mistake about this - if there is ever a referendum the vote will be to stay in, because that's what the CBI want.

Britain First should must be included in the debates!

Pre election promises / pledges are meaningless if there's a coalition government as none of the parties in power are able to deliver what they promised which means nobody gets what they voted for.

In the, tried and tested, tradition of pre-election bribery a, desparate, politician seeks re-election!

Vote for me Bollox here

There has been nothing this blatant, so far!

What a wonderful choice. A posh liar or a posh incompetant nonentity.

Where are the Michael Foot, Tony Benn type Labour - People with the working class at heart.

And in the blue corner, the wicked witch - Maggie.

At least you knew where you stood with these people whether you liked their policies or not.

Thumbs Up I'll happily accept a pre-election bribe. Thumbs Up

Although in Scotchland, why would they even bother?

Pro-tip: bribes should be conditional on the desired outcome.

More, predictable, electioneering, never going to happen, "policy" bollox.

Work for your dole!
Isn't this "community service" at the moment.
Wasn't this postulated some time ago, then dissappeared up its own backside when it was found to be totally unworkable?
Maybe it was previous election bollox.

Vote for me!

Seems to me that they're both making essentially the same promise/threat, phrased in different (but ultimately irrelevant) language. Perhaps it might not be business as usual.

People wouldn't be complaining about migrants.

Though on the whole I'd rather a migrant infestation to being a part of a Nazi Empire.

I don't suppose that the Thousand Year Reich would have survived a couple of dictators past Der Führer though, nor that Europe would have become a true Greater Germany, nor that it would have finalised die solution.

70 years on, a German dominated European super-state swallowing its neighbours through economic rather than military means could equally well follow from either outcome.

I don't see a problem with this tbh. It's to stop the 18-21 year olds who've never worked, been in training or education for over 6 months from getting too comfortable with life on the dole. Many are like this lately, I certainly know a few.

It's 30 hours a week, leaving 10 to actively look for work. When you have to drag your arse out of bed in the morning to do 30 hours for your £57 a week benefits, work might suddenly seem like a better option, It would certainly act as a deterrent to career young doleys. As it stands for some, not working is a bit too easy at the moment and it's far to easy to get in the habit of not having to get up and contribute to society.

Queue, the usual "but there are no jobs" boll0cks..... There are if you get off your arse and look for them. Getting out of bed at lunchtime then spending the rest of your day stoned will not make you employable. Having to be at a voluntary job for 9AM to get benefits, will hopefully help some of the current unemployable, get a bit of self respect and change their life around.

Dole is too easy an option for some yoof. Get your girlfriend up the duff and you'll get a house and enough benefits to drink, smoke, have smartphones, Sky and broadband. Be responsible and get a job and you'll not be affording the same house for 10 + years.

The third set of young DSS tenants in a private rental in our close are nearing eviction after keeping their rent money for spends. This is the first time a To Let sign has gone up, making me wonder if the landlord has had enough of the lifelong DSS tenants, even though they command more rent. As far as I know, none of them have ever worked from school leaving, certainly none ever worked in the time they lived there. So they are living in a 3 bed semi in a nice area and don't seem to go short on anything. I should imagine the youngest working family I've ever seen who could afford to mortgage or rent such a house, would be well into their 30's. As things stand, as wrong as it is, you can kind of see why some yoof choose not to work.

That's all well and god/bad, depending on your outlook, but, going on past pre-election codswallop it's, simply, not going to happen!
It is pure electioneering, much the same as Millipedes apprenticeship claims, pure pie in the sky garbage, for gullible voters.
How long have they been promising an in out EU plebiscite?
That's not going to happen anytime soon either
