Had a 40 minute ride back from a friends on Sunday night and by the time I got home my fingers especially on my throttle hand felt like they were going to drop off.

I was wearing Berings winter gloves but they're clearly not warm enough.

Any recommendations for some decent winter gloves that will actually keep my blood circulation from stopping?

Inb4 heated grips.

My instructor recommended those plastic disposable gloves you get at fuel stations. More to keep wet off but I think they would help to keep heat in.

Last bike I rode had heated grips and I was using a pair of Frank Thomas winter gloves- fairly cheap but feel nice and warm, found my hands too warm if anything and was turning the grips off.

Muffs.

I have been riding in muffs and unlined summer gloves for the past few winters. I'd like, but don't need heated grips.

I always used handlebar muffs in winter (sometimes well into spring) and suffered if I forgot to swap them over to a spare bike.
Not only do they keep your hands warmer but also deflect the rain away and the addition of heated grips would probably be even better.

Not the coolest things to have draped over your handlebars Shocked Shocked Shocked but easily removed when that hot date / weather shows up.

Being 200 miles away at -4C is not the time to be worried about how cool your bike looks. Mad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I use cube gloves , thermal under gloves, and heated grips. Seems to work ok, have not tried muffs but seem like a good idea though Wink

I have used those petrol station freebies, as well as disposable latex mechanic's gloves - they do work, but make your hands clammy, so I prefer to use silk gloves (from an outdoor sports shop) under Goretex gloves.

I fitted hand guards to the bars on mine, and they do a good job of keeping the wind and rain off your knuckles.

No recommendations, but steer clear of Spada Enforcer WP. My hands are always freezing after a ride.

I've been happy with Halverssen Newmans and would get another pair.

Not tried any others except RST heated gloves which do keep your hands warm but have very limited protection and it's like wearing a boxing glove. My wife uses these on the back as I struggle to feel confident on the controls with them on. Nae good that!

Bought these a couple of years ago, wasn't really expecting them to have been as good or to have lasted as long as they have, given the price.
Excellent in the cold/wet when combined with liners. Thumbs Up

Looking at my YBR handlebars there looks to be zero room for anything else to fit on :/ Do they fit onto the actual bar? Would you have to take everything off the bar first and try to squash them in somehow?

Heated grips are ok but not as effective. You can do both.
