Hi
Have come across a slightly odd corrosion issue, I commute virtually every day all seasons, with the winter comes the rain, ice and salt, the mix of these has corroded the brake light switch on the front to the extent it almost looked melted. Though I picked up the problem quickly (shows daily checks are worth it ) does anybody know if there is any solution or coating that can prevent this sort of corrosion in the future,

Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks

Come into the light

To be fair, WD came a close second. It would be nice to see how GT85 would have fared as well, I prefer it over WD because it dries. WD is demoted to tool cleaning.

FS365 turned out worse than the control, probably because it's water based Laughing

wd-40 requires repeat applications to get the best that's true..
I tend to light wash/ rinse any bike after "salt use"
and given the price over the others this makes it economical..

truth is I hate ridin in the cold anyway and mine aint seen a salt road yet... but I used to .. Crying or Very sad

I agree, to the everyday commuter it's perfect. Spray, forget, ride all winter. To a more occasional user it's probably a bit daunting entrusting a product to protect their bike all winter with one application; top-up coats are certain = such costly.
