Update!

I rode I home as she went to hospital, twisted yokes, bent bars, broken brake levers, gouged exhaust.

She got taken out by a taxi that pulled over to the left to stop in the bus stop then pulled straight into her passing on the right, no time to react he swung right to get in a space admitted liability at the scene to the police.

She is quite bad as she got crushed in between the taxi and a parked car mashed both legs into the tank.

Sorry to hear that. Addison Lee drivers do have the worst reputation. One week I had one of them either pull out or do a U-turn on me every single evening in one week. I was just thinking the other day how there weren't so many of them about now. Obviously there are still too many.

Not good mate, hope your wife gets better soon and stings Addison lee for a fortune. I know a few are saying you should have gone with her to hospital but how many of us would turn around to our partners and say get the bike home or somewhere safe then come see me? I mean we're all the same worry about the bike then when we know it's safe we can relax and worry about ourselves.

Ouch! I suffered a crush injury, and unfortunately its something that cannot be fixed. Doctors told me I'd have been better off with broken bones...rather than squashed muscle, ligaments, compacted ankle bones.

17years later and I still suffer with discoloration of skin, skin paralysis, bruises and cramp-like pains.

Hope she doesn't suffer it as much as I did. Tell her hydrotherapy is amazing and go for it if offered, also I had a procedure called 'guanethidine block injections' which helped with the pain of the crush. I had this treatment every four weeks for just over a year.

keep tabs of every extra expense incurred due to it, might also be worth reporting the incident to the public carriage office as driving lower than the standard you'd expect from a professional driver - they have the power to revoke taxi license.
