Hi Guys and girls,

I have been getting battered lately with sms spam, PPI, payday loans, calls etc etc.. strangely ALL from the same number which makes me think its somebody who has aquired my number somehow and is actually sending these texts to occupy their minds.

the actual phone calls tend to be hidden numbers.

Anyway, I have this phone number and with the resouceful guys here at BCF I wondered what to do.... In fact I'll put the number and leave it to you.

I wouldnt mind some suggestions, I've (so far) tried pay day loans but after about 20 sites only two offer a ring back, I've posted number on a couple of gay hook up sites... but I'm not great and wondered if there is a way to complete this in one massive bump.

Oh, theres an ad or two with the number as well.

right, here you go number removed

What phone do you have?

If it's an android device try blacklist plus or SMS Blacklist (same author)

You'll probably find it's someone faking CLIP rather than it actually being the number you think it is.

And you haven't figured out how to block a number yet? Thinking

You're trying to get revenge on a robot, most likely.

It might not help, but www.tpsonline.org.uk is the telephone preference service, and it blocks sales and marketing calls within the UK. You can register landlines and mobiles, and it takes approximately 28 days, but totally free.

Good luck.

OP said he calls from unknown/withheld numbers...

Most android blocker app will reject unknown/withheld calls at the tick of a checkbox.

Given that the same number is also selling lots of dodgy looking bike gear, I'd guess not. Sounds personal - who have you pissed off lately? I'm guessing somebody called Scott, born 31st January. (Happy Birthday Scott!)

Hi there, sorry to here your getting spammed unfortunately though I can confirm that Scott is not responsible for any of your spamming firstly doesn't know who you are secondly far too busy working to spam and thirdly just doesn't need to spam......The only way I can even imagine this happening is if his number is being cloned by a company to spam you? Again sorry for your inconvenience but not down to my partner. We had wondered who had applied for a wonga loan in our name? If you wouldn't mind also deleting the number from the gay hook up sites it would be greatly appreciated ;p
