I can't seem to find a torrent of a fairly large band's album. Korn III: Remember Who You Are is what I'm after but there are no seeds.

Anyone know why or where I might find seeds? :/

I've checked Piratebay, Kick ass torrents and torrentz.eu, none have any seeds though, so I've just got a red bar with "Idle".

That must be why I just downloaded one of them without any problems. Wink

You should use utorrent rather than whatever torrent client you're using right now. Thumbs Up

I dunno, I've closed that tab now.

There's only five torrents to choose from so set them all off to download and you'll quickly find which one I successfully download and am now seeding.

Oh, I'm downloading from another one of the torrents as well now.

If you can't download from any of them then you've got something setup wrong and or that unknown torrent client isn't helping.

I'll give you a clue about which torrent it is... the one I first downloaded is 105mb.

Or you could just buy the record. Just putting it out there... Rolling Eyes

First hit on ebay.

I'm using Transmission, I don't normally struggle to get things downloading... :/

Also uTorrent doens't look universally highly recommended https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/2j5qqg/brothers_please_stop_using_utorrent/

Wonder if there's a setup issue.

You're right, I could. Please show me where I can buy a DRM free MP3 to use with my old fashioned phone that I use to listen to music.

That seems the most likely possibility.

If you're worried what the FBI might do to you should you get caught downloading MP3's then use a SOCKS5 proxy and a VPN.

I'm seeding the album again now. Thumbs Up

Who has a CD player anymore? Laughing Do you need to go walk your dinosaur. Laughing

Strangely, all the torrents spontaneously resolved themselves and have finished. No idea what caused it. I'll blame my VPN. Laughing

The computer you are using probably has one unless you are an I'Fag. Even those without I have heard can have an external one connected.

Nope, I got rid of the useless device since I never used it and replaced it with a hard disk bay which can hold many mp3s worth of CDs. Ditto with the external device, which would I buy it just for 1 album?

CDs and DVDs in the modern times are pretty pointless. I know some old people struggle with adapting and cling onto relics of times gone past though, so it's OK, I understand your situation. Wink

That as may be but I already have that album. On CD Mr. Green
I may be a relic but I'm a relic with extensive back catalogue Wink

Old I may be but my laptop is set up the same as yours I just fitted the old drive into a case for ripping DVD's.
Of course you may be young and believe that everything you buy in the cloud is actually yours, it isn't.

Well when your HD dies and you have not got copies of your music.... What will you do.
At least I, as other's can simply rip them again.
Downloading is fine, but finding some stuff is next to impossible.

As to old people.... even young music lovers are buying Vinyl disks again as they have realised just how good they are.....

When I can't find somewhere to download whatever album it is I want, then I might consider the possibility of considering buying it from somewhere.

But that's not happened for quite a few years now so I don't think I'll be going to Our Price to buy a CD any time soon.

If my HDD got damaged then I'll just download the music again.

Problem I have with doing that is I'm just going to turn the CD into 320kbps MP3s or FLAC files anyway. So I could pay to download legally but then it can end up costing more than actual physical medium? Bit cheeky if I'm honest. I'll happily pay for digital downloads of littler acts that could use the money though, especially if I know most of the proceeds go to the ones who wrote/recorded it.

No I don't. Why would I trust someone else with my data? I don't use anything like Dropbox unless it's for something I consider public.
