Would preferably want a one or two piece kit. It's for everyday riding, no track days or offroading. I just want good protection that also makes me Look 'cool'. I'm hoping to spend under £300 but that seems unlikely so I have a maximum of 900 to splash . Hope it doesn't get that pricey though) my height is 5'8 and I usually wear size S clothing. Cheers

Can easily get some gear for 300 or less. I'd go 1 piece leathers but thats me - RST do some good stuff. Need a waterproof suit mind if you're planning on riding in all weathers so thats another 50 quid possibly. Whatever you want to get; try it on first, lots of stuff won't fit as you expect it will.

As for finding something considered universally 'cool', good luck Thumbs Up

I ride (nearly) every day. I doubt that's what you mean though.

I do hope that you get a helpful answer.

£900 will get you a lovely Rukka jacket. Combine it with a pair of jeans and you'll be balls deep in clunge within 30 minutes.

Or not....

On a serious note, will you be riding in winter? If so, thermal lined textiles rather than leathers.

As for looking cool, that's all dependant on how old you are!

Rst Ventilator 4 textile jacket and trousers would be the gear I would go for if I had spare money ( I just like the RST range tbh)

I have 3 different kinds of gloves - gauntlets, short summer and thermal gore-tex gloves.

Helmet if a personal choice though, get one that fits. Go to a shop and try on. As everyone will say a £50 helmet that fits is better than a £200 helmet that doesn't fit.

Boots again personal choice, I like my smx 6s.

Why do people want to look cool Rolling Eyes

So you will be a XL in bike gear then Laughing

You want some gear, then get down to a shop and try some stuff on. Forget how it looks and concentrate on how comfortable fit it is Thumbs Up

I second the RST stuff. I have the ventilator 3 trousers&jacket and they'reve been great so far(for winter and summer as well). Waterproof lining is working, the only flaw is the junction between jacket& trousers on the front where water tends to accumulate under heavy rain and will ultimately get through, leaving you with a giant "I peed myself" wet mark on your jeans.
