Been looking forward to these since I smashed my mirrors off...

MCN said they work, but take a bit of getting used too.
So could be good for some, awful for others.

i intend to try one out as soon as they hit the shops around here.
So will post back here with my impressions Smile

Would be a right cunt to ride with that at night I would have thought.

Dazzling headlights behind you etc etc.
Great for those times that the old bill are following you though.

They are up on a website as pre-order for £300

I think one of the drawbacks of the helmet may stop the dazzling effect.

From what I have read so far, you have to get your head lined up in quite a precise position to get the clear rear view. So if you are getting dazzled, moveing your head to a slightly different angle, should get rid of most of the dazzle.

Or you could just shut your eyes!

I'm full of good ideas today!

Someone should integrate a system or mirrors into the bikes chasis that gives you a rear view mirror in the cockpit.

HTF is that going to work then?

The helmet would surely have to stick out from your forehead quite a bit to allow a mirror inside that you could glance into?

That's got to be some sort of wind up?

No wind up, I tried one of these at the NEC this year. Fair to say it is WEIRD but no doubt you would get used to it, especially turning your head right to see to the left in the rear view mirror!

The reflective surface is about (from rough memory) about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick and not very long. It did work well, but I cant comment on the dazzling bit! Other than that it didnt FEEL any different, didnt look too big and wasn't too heavy. If you have the patience to learn to use it properly Id say go for it!

That's a good point, what the hell do you do if some chav is up your arse with his lights on full beam? (Apart from open your throttle.)

They may be a filter in there somewhere that you flip down, a bit like the Caberg flip face helmets, I think it's the Justissimo that has that little flip down thingy.

Reevu helmets are retialed at £299.99. They look like a helmet with a plastic window in the back and a periscope through the top of the lid. When it is on you /really/ have to look up to see the thin mirror. IMHO not worth the plastic they're made of! Thumbs Down

I am a bit apprehensive about these helmets. I'd hate to have two things going on different directions in my direct line of sight. Confused

I'd rather spend the £300 on a small camera and link it up to a small screen above the clocks.
