Do not get fooled by the sunbeams, once you get into shade or forest/tree area, it'll be dump and cold as feck there. Thumbs Up

Also, I'm not sure how about in the UK, but here, the roads are still full of gravel. Although, I did a short run on my mate's MZ 150 and it was manageable.

Last night was f'n freezing to be outside and this morning wasn't much better.

It's 12 or 13 degrees in the southeast at the weekend though so Spring may finally be here (touching wood).

Got all exciteded last night, fettled up the Enfield, came out this morning FUUUUUUUUUU ice all up the driveway and down the road, car time again.

Flipping Cooncil hadn't even gritted the main roads, I had a Moment with a van doing a hero slide onto a roundabout at the bottom of a hill. First time I've ever seen White (well blue) Van Man actually do the 'sorry mate' hands in earnest.

Just a couple of hundred metrons above sea level = Sad face.

I was the same today, day off feeling alright for a change and the sun was out so decided I. Out on the bike as well, dragging jeans was possibly not my best idea though, needed a pee when I got back and couldn't find the old boy. Still was good to be out again, had enough of the bad weather and the lergy for this year. The stupid thing is I just put new tyres on the van now it's going to be stood still for a few months. Only problem was I lost my headlight while out luckily it was only a loose connection so a quick zip tie and all sorted.

Yep, still a little chilly and windy but there was enough sun to make a blast of it. Nice having some semblance of grip underneath the tyres too. All this bodes well for an early summer that lasts well into September like last year, where almost every day is bright and long with excellent visibility and grip, days where bikers win and cagers lose.

Bring it on.

I don't notice the cold - and the wind doesn't bother me either. It was blowing a reet gale at squires today though - but the roads were excellent. Bone dry and not too gritty. Best ride I've had since autumn last year.

Was warm enough here to do the whole Antrim coast road from belfast to portrush and onwards to downhill beach. A good 160 mile ride out by the time i was home again.
A touch chilly out of the sun and windy in places along the coast but a real nice 4.5 hour ride out by time i stopped for a couple cups tea.

Yes its warm. I now wear a T shirt as my normal outermost outdoor clothing item, and summer jacket when on bike (no more massive hoody/textile jacket torture). Can really feel the sun, had some great weather this week. Hot enough the ground has been fully dry, rather than the permanent damp of winter.

Not quite ready for summer gloves, plus theres not enough flies. 5c more, and there will be plenty of flies for summer clothing Laughing

That'd do. New tyres on the Fazer this Saturday, would be nice to have a good day to break them in ready for next week...

I'm not quite jobless but I only work 2 days a week so I know how you feel with this weather, have just put 400 miles on the bike in the past few days, I only put 2000 on my bike last year, this year I aim to do a lot more than that.

Been out a fair bit in the last couple of days, but come the best weather of all today and I wake up with a nasty crick in my neck - can't turn my head to the right very well, so decided better to stay off the bike today. Bugger! This getting old lark ain't what it's cracked up to be Sad
