Clark Kent? A pile of wank? Sluggish little abomination?

https://www.visordown.com/reviews/motorcycles/learner-legal-125s/suzuki-dr125-sm-2008---present/reader-reviews/3861.html#review4938

It's not that I disagree so much (OK it struggles to 40 if there's a headwind) but it's like someone laughing at my ugly wife. She's the only one I've ever had! Bwaaha! Crying or Very sad

It gets better, I won a Gear Gremlin Seat Buddy for that review...

https://i30.twenga.com/cars-motorbikes/motorbike-seat/gear-gremlin-seat-buddy-tp_8677044692177894364vb.jpg

... so effectively I'm rubbing my arse on your bike. Dance!

At least those three reviews don't contradict each other.

Edit: I wander what he'd have to say about my CBR650F, new uprated version (ha) with less power, heavier weight, cheaper suspension than it's smaller engine older predecessor. Damn I wonder myself Confused

Seat Buddy - is that something for cruiser riders?

Well harrumph, I think I'll be taking this as a hint to move onwards and upwards as I'm now unrestricted.

However I would miss getting 140 miles per £8 fill-up - something I'm sure won't be lost on a self-respecting Scotch.

Hehe, I'm a free man but I imagine it's like that.. I'm free to look at motorbikes with more than just a wistful eye! Smile (and no maintenance payments).

It's a seat, on wheels, with little compartments. You sit on it, and wheel it around, and put things in the little compartments, while working on your bike.

I wouldn't pay £25 + postage for it, but it's actually a jolly useful object.

Huzzah!

I may have over-egged that review a tiny bit.

I went out on my sluggish abomination for a post-twilight ride and really enjoyed it; one man's (even overegged) rubbish is another man's treasure.

I'll box clever and save for a 2nd bike. There's no rush; it's something you learn when you drop a gear for slopes. Wink

I've yet to ride a bike I haven't loved. Shit man you don't even need to pedal!

Or just pop down to the local Asda?

Question is; was the prize a more exciting ride than the reviewed bike?

It handles well and has useful storage space.

I won't say it's changed my life, but it's a decent design, well executed. The retail price is a bit steep, but it was well worth stitching up Flatbadger to get one. Whistle
