Hi guys, just out of interest how often should the air and oil filter be changed? I've got a cbr 125 and had it a year now and just wondering if it's worth changing them, I'm not sure if the previous owner changed them. ..

Cheers in advance

Oil filter every time you change the oil, so about every 2 1/2k on a little 125. Air filter every 2 or 3 oil changes

It's in the manual.

Start by immediately changing oil and filters on any used bike you buy.

Whatever it says in the manual. It's pointless doing it before unless you're racing or in dusty conditions not covered by the manual.

Really? You've owned the bike for a year and never changed the oil or filters? How many miles have u done in that year?

I know it's not the same bike, but my old CBF125 service intervals were 2,5000 miles (with exception of the first sevrvice @ 600 miles).

On my current bike I swap the oil and oil filter every 2K miles, spark plugs & air filter every other oil change (every 4K miles). Bike hasn't missed a beat in 25K miles/1 year. Don't even know the actual service intervals for my bike, but I'm sure it's not less than 2.5K miles, probably around 5K miles realistically.

I'm not too sure it actually has an oil filter.

Does it ?

My mate had a 125 Honda and it was the same as my YBR. No oil filter.
