This please.

https://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/mentalboy1/480_360_csupload_620564681_zps172d42f5.jpg

Dilemma time... It's been a while since I worked on it. Just dug it out and need to do something with it, just what though I'm not sure - yet. Space however is now at a premium as my mancave is no longer Sad

For those that don't know what they're looking, it's a 1994 CBR900RR (with a few tweaks)!!

I'll be headed stateside permanently by August if all goes well, which with other stuff to clear up (and another two months in the US soon) before I go leaves little time to finish her off.

1st option: is to stump up a few quid and ship her out to the States (which is the easy bit, thanks to emission laws I'd have to put a fair bit of stuff back in her guts to get a title (registered) for her - thereafter I could strip it all off and no-one would give a toss Rolling Eyes )

2nd option: is to find some non-existent time (and money!!) and finish her off before selling.

3rd option: is to find some other person who wants to buy a running (rather loudly Wink ) 'Blade that needs a few tweaks before it goes for MOT.

I've got a pretty good idea what the first option would cost (and it wasn't too appealing until I realised how pricey 2nd-hand bikes of that kind of age are in the States, pre '90s and they practically give them away Rolling Eyes )
So, using the collective brain that is BCF, what do the esteemed massif think said 'Blade would fetch as it is or spanked up and made MOT'able ( both with a big box of all the stuff ripped off her).

This thread gives more of an idea what's been done to her.

What still needs doing? Looks like, in the classic words of eBay sellers, it's 99.99% done.

Spot on! Needs rear lights. If you don't have a 'nice' MOT man it'll need indicators and the dash just needs a little tweaking to tidy it up

That was my question. I haven't a clue on a custom machine's perceived value or realistic value, let alone one that's '99.9% done, honest guv' Wink

...but I'm not after anymore than what I paid for it - I've spent almost nothing on her bar time which is neither here nor there - but it would be handy to see my initial investment back as I need to buy a couple of return tickets to Florida!

'Fraid so, it may take up less room but it's not really a space I want filling!!! (Besides your R125 would have to be fairly ropey for that kind of swap, wouldn't it? 125's are silly money)

Sell here, and sell as is if possible to someone that could finish and ride it afterwards.

If you want to do that to a blade again, then there will be plenty of them Stateside to pick up cheap and probably modify more cheaply over there too.

Lol at Marjay, but I agree with him I'm sorry! The polished frame, renthals and no bodywork is liveable just, but the tail unit and paintjob do not want! Laughing

Too much it would seem!!! Sad

I'd much prefer the original twin headlamp 'Blade in it's full plastic coat - but it didn't come with it and some nob had already messed with the headlights and handlebars, I just added to that by removing the tailpiece as it looked out of place.
