Since my bike has little or no history Ive decided its time for some home servicing! Now I know some of you have fx's so I'd just like some advice to be honest.

What kind of oil do you prefer
Which spark plugs do you reccomend
Should I replace the standard airbox filter with an aftermarket one or stick with the original

As im unsure if the bike has had an oil change recently would it be worth running some sort of cleaner through the bike before I change the oil?

Last question, and this sounds stupid but im stumped, if I were to grease the pistons on the calipers what type of grease should I use?

cheers guys

Wink

Spark plugs - NGK/CR9EH-9

Oil - Castrol GPS

Wouldn't worry about the filter particularly.

Dunno about the grease tho Smile

Can't usually go wrong with Coppaslip grease, I use it for pretty much everything.

It's 10W40, I think it only comes in that grade tho.

Just buy the stuff with the bike engine on the front. Wink

any good 10w40 motorbike oil will do, probably better sticking with an original airfilter, if you get an aftermarket one that lets more air in it could make your bike run lean,
i've read a few times not to use copaslip on pistons because it can damage the seals?
