The screen on my Pan is currently directing the wind onto my face, so I am considering one of these attachments that go on the top of the screen:

Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they make an awful lot of difference?

Thanks

My mate at work made a custom deflector for his SZR660 - you can adjust the angle and position of it. For something as simple as that, he told me that he was able to not get buffeted as much, meaning that he was able to ride in a more upright position whilst staying in relative comfort.

I don't have any personal experience since I'm a 3/4 tuck + double bubble type rider.

My Sprint came with one already fitted by the previous owner.

As far as I could tell, it made not one jot of difference whatever position you set it to.Just made it harder to clean the screen😕........although it looks like that one just clips on, mine was bolted through the screen.

Welcome to 1100 Pan ownership and the 'Holy Grail' of a screen that doesn't direct wind at your head.

Something similar is on mine and I have decided it makes very little difference. They just seem to direct the wind at a different part of your head.

Since that picture I've taken about 3-4 inches off the top of the screen and refitted the adjustable part. I don't like looking through a screen and it has made it no worse. The screen that got busted in France was a better shape and quieter but I can't remember where it was from.

I tried a really tall screen - that was better but the buffeting and blowing, especially in side winds, was a nightmare.

Do get some hand wind deflectors though - on top of my mirrors. They are great at directing wind and rain away from your hands. With heated grips I get away with summer gloves even in really cold weather Thumbs Up

Thanks for the replies. It seems that it may not be worth the money getting one then. I will look into those mirror wind deflectors though Matt Thumbs Up
