Out on the bike today testing out new suspension parts..
Popped a mediocre wheelie when some dick dome flips me the the finger? Going in the opposite direction.
Obviuosly he got one back but why can't think of any decent reasons why I would do that to someone.
Any decent answers?[/quote]

I always get wanker signs, the finger, shaking the heads, wagging fingers, flashing lights. I ignore it. My old college teacher will regularly applaud my attempts in the morning, as he commutes to college, I ride past and see him in roughly the same place everyday so try my hardest to wheelie past him every morning. Laughing

Endangering many kittens most likely.

What I find odd is all the old bastards that flash you like mad once you've overtaken them.

In the car I simply flash my rear fog light back at them for a good while.

I've come to realise it must just be an appreciation for a good overtake.

Thumbs Up

Pretend not to notice, they want to cause offence!

Nothing would rile them more.

I think it's jealousy - people in cars who want the advantages of a bike without actually riding one. Sometimes it's cutting it a bit too fine on overtakes too. But mostly jealousy.

I haven't had the balls to pull a wheelie yet, frankly until I'm less shite at general stuff it's not something I'm worried about. Very Happy

You know when you see someone doing something and you think "what a tit" well that's probably what he was thinking and as he couldn't verbalise it he offered to sign it instead.

Because when you stick the front down skewed one day (cos that never happens, right) you'll slap it into his lane and end up under the front of his motor.

isnt this just the same as people wheel spinning coming out of Maccy d's?

I used to wheelie a lot in my motocross days until i managed to hit a parked trailer along the side of the track. How i missed it was beyond me but its not something i would transfer to road use.

Id sooner just hit something square on Laughing

It's down to style, I guess.

I sometimes laugh out loud at some of the pimply yoof around here, sitting as far back as possible on the saddle of their ChinkJunk 50cc scooters, desperately yanking on the handlebars to get the front wheel in the air.

However, I did have a feeling of admiration for the guy on a much more powerful bike than mine, who pulled up alongside of me at the lights, and took off at lightning-speed with the front wheel no more than about 6" off the tarmac until he disappeared into the middle distance - like a boss.
