Trondheim and back again, first tour- any advice?

Hey guys,

A mate and I are riding our bikes (600 hornet and zx6r) to Trondheim in Norway and back again next month. We have a total budget of £2000 and are currently planning on doing it over 11 days.

We’ve both done long stints on bikes before, but this will be my first time outside the UK on the bike. Any advice/tips? Suggestions of good roads on the way would also be a plus.

Are you getting the ferry to Norway first? Don't get caught speeding in Norway, I think they're allowed to execute you or something. 2000 will buy you a couple of beers, you might want to take some more cash.

Are you doing DFDS Harwich or the long Holland route? There's meant to be a new service starting next year into Stavanger from the UK.Either way the Trollstigen is a must but as Tungt said the fines for speeding are huge 5 miles over may blow your budget.
