Please help.

I am trying to find a wiring diagram for my 1990 Suzuki DR250S (dual purpose model with lights, indicators etc). This bike does not have a battery but what looks like a capacitor and also what appears to be a 6 wire indicator flasher unit, all the bits appear to be OEM, however every DR250S & DR350S wiring diagrams I have come across on the internet have a battery and do not have the Capacitor and flasher unit as fitted to my bike, likewise the diagrams in my Clymer DR250S manual are also all with battery. My bike is not unique to this as I did come across someones project DR250S with exactly the same set up and components, unfortunately at that stage I did not think to save the web site, if I did I could try and contact the person.

help will be most appreciated

Don't know the bike but my guess is the cap is someones idea of
'ruggedising' it, but with spill proof agm batteries even Li-on types so easily available,
I'd put an agm/Li-on battery in place of the cap and
wire it in way that works to suit me.

Suzuki, like most makers, tend to follow the same colour convention on all their bikes
so you could refer to the Dr250 battery type diagrams
for some reference
ie
Black/white for ground/earth
Light green for right and Blue for left indicators
and so on....

Its pretty easy and fun but
Rule 1
take your time
rule 2
plan the work then work the plan
take a lot of pics and make notes then plan it out before
starting rather than hack and hope.

When you do start, do one system at a time
charging, ignition, lights, flashers etc
when it's right, do the next system.

Its what I did on my bike which bears no resemblence to standard
and it all works wel and reliably which is the whole point.
