Anyone have any experience with Zard pipes? Had never heard of them until this morning but I'm now tempted by one of their products. Yay or nay?

No experience as such, but with most systems like this, you would certainly have to make a few other mods to get the best from them.

Read what others are saying about Zard Here.

I had a Zard 'Trofeo' high level twin pipe setup on my Thruxton 900 about 6 years ago. It was the last year of the carb fed engine and clip-on bars.

The workmanship in the welding was delicious, but the fit up was below average and I had to make some brackets from scratch. It was however biblically loud, very very light, and with a pair of Keihin CR39 carbs pushed it from 67 to 79hp. Dyno runs were about 3 months apart though.

Having said that, at that point the Trofeo system was only made for the Thruxton cup bikes, so it was only by speaking half decent Italian and a bit of charm to the sales girl on the phone that they agreed to send me one.

I know a chap with a Zard can on a speed triple, and apparently it went on like a glove. So I'd be happy to assume it was the rough arse racebike pipes that lacked a bit of fit up finesse.

Quality and fit is meant to be awesome. Not cheap though.

In my case this is actually cheaper than the Akra and roughly on par with the Scorpion and Termignoni (those are my other possibles).

Thanks carlos, getting positive reviews wherever I go!
