Well i got my bike to stop overheating and leaking coolant today, and so decided to pop up to H's cafe with a few friends, for my first proper ride since around December time, when i passed my driving test and became a car fag. Smile

Anyway, Paul Hollywood turned up on his new H2, we had a chat with him for a while, and i had a sit on his bike, and was very impressed by it. This is the first experience i've had with one in person. My mate got a couple of pics; Ignore my funny pose in the first image Very Happy

Yes, it looks to be stuffed inside the front of his jacket.

It does, especially with the akrvpovic on it. You can hear the chatter from the supercharger when you rev it.

That's the first time I've seen one outside of promotional shots and it may be a fast bike but fuck me it's ugly as sin. Everything about it from the shape to the gaudy colours.

That exhaust, the ridiculous wheels, the green on the frame that doesn't seem to match the green on the wheels, combined with the silver on the wheels and the gold coming through from the exhaust. *vom*

Noice bike Thumbs Up

Is he local then? Been to H cafes Weds night meet a few times. Adelaide is a better meet I reckon. As an aside I bought my Bandit from Kent MCs. Good bunch there, they helped pick up my stricken Pan for free a while back.

Think he had a Ducati before. I'm sure I read that somewhere. And a DB9. Who'd have thought baking
could be so lucrative. (His bakery went bust BTW Laughing )

^So no but hurt there then! Laughing

I still think the blower would have been better employed on the bigger and heavier more stable ZZR14, but hey.

While the H2 is definitely no 916 to look at, I bet it's still good to ride, though I don't think I would ever be happy with how spindly and under triangulated that trellis frame looks.

I suppose H2 did not need to be pretty, as it is exclusive enough and unique as it is.

Good luck to him I say, I am a capitalist at heart so have respect for anyone that does well in their endeavours.
No butt hurt here mate, most of my cash is tied up in (paid for and mortgage free) properties and
a not insignificant 5 figure sum in savings. But if I sold the rental portfolio then I could have
2 DB9s and 4 H2s and a couple of round the world trips plus still own a house to live in.
Or I could watch that rent coming in month in month out (like I do) and not have to work that hard as a result. Dance!
Also when I sell up at the end most likely I'll make money on the sales, which isn't usually the case with vehicles.
Still I do like the bike, it's attractiveness is its ugliness. But those front indicators are a taking that a bit far.
Headlight looks awesome though, like there isn't one almost.
Just thought it was funny that his business at what he's famous for went under. Doesn't seem to be
hitting his earnings though so meh.

Seat does look low doesn't it. I always got the impression Hollywood was quite a tall bloke.
Can't be very comfortable if he is tall.

I actually like the look of it apart from that shade of green for the frame - it looks cheap next to the darker green wheels.

Didn't even know Paul Hollywood was a biker - but then I take naff all in the GBBO or whatever it's called these days.

Most of the force is transmitted through the engine block. The spindly looking frame just holds the seat and petrol tank to the engine

So the swingarm, shock mount and headstock directly bolts to the motor then?

Neat enough, but I think a good trellis looks cool with lots of triangulated bars from a style angle really.

I wonder which is the lightest way to build a bike though, as engines have to be far stronger and more rigid to allow the front/back ends to mount directly to them.
