Since they did away with tax discs, I have stopped getting reminders.

Eventually paid it late a few months back and I still havn't received any documentation from them.

Anyone else getting this? Have they messed up the changeover?

i got a paper reminder for the car in feb
taxed it online and got an email back from them within a couple of minutes.
taxed the new bike in march ,same story email notification in minutes.
where did you tax it?
there are some fake gov sites.
or you could go to https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

it will show if you have tax and mot and when its due

What were you expecting? You won't get anything by post now.

Paid online - wristjob's link shows my tax as being valid so at least I didn't get scammed.

Lack of documentation is a bit disconcerting though. Will have to rely on myself to remember next year. Waiting to see if they will fine me for late payment this year.

I'm getting a steady stream of reminders for my little fleet so that side seems okay, taxed the van a
few weeks ago. I got an email notification that the van was taxed so you could always print that off
and keep a hard copy? I didn't bother, the email is viewable on my phone if needed at the roadside.
Me and my mrs have a custom calendar made each year using photos from the previous years holidays.
You can also add any important information thats personal to you and they print it on the calendar.
so all the MOT, insurance and tax anniversaries are shown printed on the calendar when it arrives with
a reminder a week before they are all expire. I have 4 road going vehicles so one or the other always
needs something or other doing/renewing/servicing and this is what works for me. Haven't forgotten any
of them so far been doing it like this for years now. It's the only admin I have to deal with, the wife
does ALL the rest so I can't drop the ball on this one. Vehicles is my 'thing', everything else I deal with
in the household is more practical. (The calendar is about 17 quid and is quite fun to do choosing the pictures
and all that. Lots of online places do them, avoid Vistaprint unless you want 2.5 million emails a day
advertising business cards and anything else they fancy trying to sell you.)

Means nothing - you could buy VED, get the acknowledgement, and put in for a refund 10 seconds later.

We all live by DVLA's sufferance now.
