Another newbie question please.
Due to get a cbf 125. Obviously ill have a read thru the service guide to know whats coming up. Also i have seen a lot of CF50 thingies and ill be keeping my bike in the garage overnight. Will be getting a chain for work security.
What other tips could i have to keep my buke in tip too condition and reduce rust risk?
How often to wash?
How often to apply this cf 50 thing?
How often do i check other stuff, stuff not clearly outlined in the manual or often taken for granted?
Dos and donts?

Thanks in advance. Nick

meh, it's a 125 Honda, just abuse it between servicing, oil and adjust the chain, keep the tyre pressures right, and valet and ACF-50 it twice a year.

Keep an eye on your engine oil level and change the oil often, I would suggest every 1000-1500 miles on these bikes. Oil is cheap, parts are not.

^^^
That. There are repeated reports of CBF125s burning through their oil within the 2500 mile service interval and seizing.

-Yep, oil every 1250 so halfway between services.
-I use Muc-off pink spray to clean mine, then a finishing cloth.
-I clean irregularly, it depends on the weather. I have some Muc Off wipes which I sometimes mess about with on my lunch break and that gets the worst of it off after rain.
-I check engine oil once a week and tyre pressure once a fortnight.
-I lube my chain every 7-10 days. Buy a chain brush and specific chain cleaner, let it dry then apply lube or wax. I then leave the chain brush to soak in white spirit.
-Chain slack I look at maybe once every ten days.
-ACF50, erm... Little and not very often.
-Dos and don'ts? Don't be too gentle when changing gear, especially from first to second.
-Buy a Haynes manual if you're planning on having it a while. There are also lots of maintenance/service vids on Youtube.

No, I think you can use the Muc Off on everything. Keep ACF50 well away from brakes and wheels.
