Pitbike Supermoto 'have a go' - Hullavington Sat 4/4/15

I should be there for the full session which is 6pm to 10pm.

It will mostly consist of 10-20 minutes of riding in total and the rest of the evening sitting around trying to fix the bike.

Nothing on my account, but have to cover the fees for hullavington (it's only £5 extra for one rider sharing the same bike, but if we say had three riders riding three of my bikes, going to be £20 for an extra 'owner rider'.)
So, getting 200 laps in would make that around 10p per lap.
(Though, wouldn't mind some fuel money if bikes being used properly - a couple of quid would boost that up to a staggering 11p per lap!)

Although probably useless at Hully.
It's more of a Whilton Mill bike.

Ste's prediction was remarkably prophetic .

Saying that, it was mostly me deciding to f-about with bikes - could have kept them as they were and blagged a jubilee clip off someone.
I thought the track was lacking in grip, until it was pointed out the tyres on the bike I was riding were pretty tired. However, following a faster rider while I was riding a bike with better tyres, my corner speed on the fast back corners was pretty similar - so it seems it the track is just lacking in grip - something I'd definitely noticed when we first did minimoto there many years ago.

A rule of thumb with indoor Pit bike SM tyres. Is the cheaper, the better.

Sticky tyres pick up all the dust, and then you lose grip.
Cheap tyres seem to be the best choice.

Interesting... I did notice my Sava's were pretty dusty.

The PMT slicks were pretty knackered, but would have been fine out doors for the sort of speeds I've been riding I expect .

PMT's are fooking epic out-doors. 10" being the better size for them (IMO).

12" wheels, I find Sava's un-stoppable outdoors. Fantastic supermoto rubber.

Heidenau are the indoor choice IIRC.

I might actually have one of those - I looked at it rather disdainfully along with the pile of other tyres that came with the 160!
