Hi, thank you very much to the kind citizen who donated the £1.00. I would also thank the person who sent me 8 pence, but unfortunately this was completely swallowed by paypal fees.

What I don't understand is the part where I asked you not to reply to say I was being stupid or to rip the piss, yet I got about 50 replies doing juts that!!!

As for "Get a job you lazy *^&#@'~" I'm still at school so can't get a full time job, and the only part time job I can get only pays me about £50 a month for one evenings work a week.

So if I'm not going to get any more £1 donations, could anyone please let me know where to get cheap plastics and tailpipes for a 2001 Honda XLR 125R as these are bloody expensive, and need replacing.

What are you talking about!!??!? If you are at school you will have LOOOADS of time to work, and rake in the money.

I was getting over 300 at one point per month, only doing 1 day and one evening per week. In fact at one point I had 2 jobs, that and doing pizza deliveries on the side for extra money to fund my bike/lessons. I worked all through my holidays, every one. Worked longer hours that full timers in holiday time.

I funded my Bike/licence/lessons/riding gear/insurance using money from part time jobs. - That cost a lot, but I slaved my ass off for it and made a lot of sacrifices. You can sort out your parts in one month easy.

You are just lazy. I almost took pity on you until I knew the full circumstances.

The first thread I thought could possibly have been a joke and the responces by some members were very funny!

But you honestly think that WE are going to pay for you to keep your bike?

We all run our own bikes and work to keep them running! If you cannot afford the bike, sell it!

I work so that I may own and maintain my motorcycle and have NEVER asked a group on a forum that I dont know for money to help run the bike. Infact I would never beg on a forum.

Life is full of WANTS and NEEDS

what people need IS: -

Basic nurishment, Warm dry place to live, water to hydrate.

Everything else even down to orange squash to make the water more paletable is a want on the basis you dont need it.

So therefore... you do not need a motorcycle if you cannot afford to run it you shouldnt have one even though you want one.

Ok I want a motorcycle so I have worked hard and will continue working hard so that I may run my motorcycle.

Also I want a tail pack for my bike and was offered some more hours at work on saturday, This was my first saturday off for quite a long time but I worked it so that I may afford to buy myself that tail pack I want.

The fact is When I was 17 (Which you must be atleast 17 to own a 125) I was studying for my A-levels full time (which I have now acheived) and I was working 20 + hours a week in a supermarket (safeways) and I HATED that job and most people that worked there as my superviser made my working life very difficult but I stuck at it so that I could afford to run my motorcycle!

Basically what I am trying to say is get a job stop making excuses as really there are none.

Life is tough, If you cannot afford lifes luxuries and dont want to earn the money for them then tough luck!

When I bought my first proper bike I paid cash for it (I previously had a 125 which my Dad went halfers on with me due to us living miles away from anywhere, saved him having to drive me.).

I was 17 and it cost me £950 to buy and £405 to insure TPO. Where did I get such huge amounts of money? I had a job working holiday relief at a local piggery at £4.50 per hour. From 7.30am to 5.30pm monday to friday during my summer and easter holidays I shovelled pig shit, filled feed hoppers, moved pigs about and did a hell of a lot of sweeping and hosing of passageways.

Every Friday I would get a riding lesson after work, then I paid for my test, passed it and bought myself a bike. It was MY bike, paid for with sweat off my back, and I daresay 'worth' a lot more than some more expensive bikes.
